Oconee 4th of July Spectacular
OCONEE VETERANS PARK, Watkinsville, Ga. – Oconee Veterans Park will again be the host site of Independence Day activities in Oconee County. The 2nd Annual Oconee 4th of July Spectacular presented by Ellis Pain Center will be the event to be a part of in Oconee County in 2013. Oconee County with the support of the Chamber of Commerce will coordinate a day of celebrating our independence during the evening of July 4th beginning at 6:00pm. Included in the activities will be a traditional participant parade with decorated wagons, walkers and wheels (bikes only, no motorized vehicles), and plenty of Uncle Sam look-a-likes. The parade will begin at 7:00pm. In addition to the parade, all of the previously held downtown Watkinsville daytime events will also be moved to Veterans Park during the evening hours. Activities include local musicians, watermelon, popcorn, lemonade stands, coloring contests, kid’s inflatables, a rock climbing wall, dunking booth and plenty of food and concessions vendors to supply an evening meal on the grounds of the park. The culminating event and highlight of the evening will be the fireworks show presented by Ellis Pain Center. In commemoration of their 10th Anniversary in business, Ellis Pain Center began this tradition in Oconee and with the success of 2012 is again the presenting sponsor for the 4th of July Spectacular.  For Ellis Pain Center, this is an opportunity to say "Thank You" by providing the Oconee County community an entertaining, family friendly celebration on this most special holiday.
