Meets: 3^rd Wednesday Monthly– 4:00 pm

 

• Legislative Awareness
• Business Development
• Business Expo
• Legislative Fly-In to Washington, DC with Athens-Area Chamber of Commerce
• Partners with Athens Area, Barrow, Walton, and Gwinnett Chambers of Commerce in the Georgia Bioscience Joint Development Authority
• Promotes a service trade marketing program which encourages Oconee Citizens to “go Local”.

 

 

Fall Festival 
Meets: 1^st Wednesday Monthly – 4:00 pm

 

• This committee works to organize and plan the annual Fall Festival which is held the 3rd Saturday in October.

Marketing & Public Relations Committee

 

• Promote the Oconee Chamber through radio spots, press releases, local newspaper, cable TV
• Update and maintain the Chamber Website
• Assist Chamber staff with weekly E-newsletter
• Design a membership decal

Meets: 2^nd Wednesday Monthly– 12 noon

Ambassador Sub-Committee

 

• Host Ambassador Orientation
• Welcome new members of the Oconee Chamber
• Represent Chamber at Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings, & Ground Breaking Ceremonies
• Help plan, promote, and serve as hosts/hostesses at Morning Coffees, Business After Hours, and Annual Membership  Meeting
• Conduct “Operation Thank You” – an annual thank you of all Chamber members.
