At the Oconee Chamber of Commerce, we are fortunate to be able to sponsor many programs designed to recognize and reward educators, students, and schools in Oconee County. Throughout the year, we sponsor the following:

STAR Student Breakfast          Teacher Mini Grants            Educational Scholarships



MINI GRANTS
We have developed a program offering mini grants to Oconee County teachers and support staff who wish to implement creative and innovative educational projects within their classrooms, but are unable to secure funding through traditional sources. That's where we step in. 

Mini-grant monies must be used to purchase materials, supplies, equipment, etc. necessary for the successful completion of a project. For example, a mini grant could be used to purchase science equipment for a special science experiment, to purchase software packages for computer applications in any number of curriculum areas, or to fund parent study skill programs designed to improve the quality of parental involvement in their child’s homework.



EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it will award one $1,500 scholarship to one deserving graduate of any of the public or private high schools in Oconee County.




STAR STUDENT BREAKFAST
An annual breakfast where we recognizes the STAR Students and STAR Teachers from the five high schools in Oconee County.
