2026 Women in Business Committee
The Oconee Chamber Women in Business (WIB) Program is a diverse group of professional women within the partnership of Oconee Chamber of Commerce. Since 2012, the Oconee Chamber Women in Business has functioned as a support and networking group facilitating the partners personal and professional growth. Members engage in quarterly luncheons aimed at fostering business relationships, social awareness and community participation.
Terms
Each year a select group of women from within the Oconee Chamber of Commerce are selected to participate in the Women in Business Committee.
All WIB committee members will be asked to serve a 2-year term. If you are unable to serve your 2-year commitment, we kindly ask for a 30-day notice.
Responsibilities
·The WIB Committee meet at least once per quarter as a whole committee (meeting attendance is required)
·Assist the chamber staff and committee members in the planning and executing one WIB quarterly luncheon annually
·Coordinate quarterly hangouts
·Attend all Women in Business quarterly luncheons
·Attend women centered events hosted by the Chamber
·Assist in fundraising efforts for events
·Participate in the committee voting process for distribution of the WIB grant/scholarship
